Research impact

The research environment at Warwick allows big data activity to thrive and is built on the foundations of our mathematical sciences.

As one of the biggest parts of the University, there are over a hundred academics working across the mathematics, statistics and computer science departments and our work in this area continues to grow as we increase our expertise in data science across the institution.

Data science cuts across disciplines and impacts research across the Warwick campus. The use of large data sets will enable key, cutting-edge research to be undertaken bringing together a range of expertise and promoting inter-disciplinarity in this field as we work to tackle the world’s most pressing problems. Some of our most exciting research projects in this space are conduced by our Turing Fellows.
