Commission Timetable and Milestones

The Warwick Commission will carry out its work during 2007. It will gather evidence from expert witnesses and will present its final report in Geneva, in December.

The planned timetable of activity is:

23 – 24 February

University of Warwick

Inaugural Meeting of the Commission at which it will:

  • identify key questions to be addressed
  • agree a timetable of activity
  • give initial consideration to the structure of its report
End of March

Despatch of questionnaire to expert witnesses

May/June

Analysis of evidence from expert witnesses

15 – 16 June

Toronto, Canada

The second Commission meeting which will:

  • consider evidence from expert witnesses
  • identify further evidence needs
  • discuss the drafting of the Commission report
  • agree the conclusions and recommendations of the inquiry
  • discuss the dissemination of the Commission report

21 – 22 September

University of Warwick

The third Commission meeting which will:

  • agree the conclusions and recommendations of the inquiry
  • discuss the dissemination of the Commission report

11 October

Delhi, India

Seminar with Indian trade policy specialists

  • Plenary meeting with keynote speaker Shri Kamal Nath (Minister of Commerce and Industry, Government of India)

12 October

Delhi, India

The final Commission meeting which will:

  • finalise the Commission report

7 December

Geneva, Switzerland

Launch of the Warwick Commission report
