In this painting the artist achieves the same delicacy and beauty which characterises her smaller works despite the demands of a large canvas. Using domestic rollers she paints a surface of subtle tones of green, marked with an imperfect grid. This regular vertical pattern is interrupted by a strong horizontal plane which appears to split the canvas revealing a hint of red beneath.
