Laurence Roche
Born 1944, Goodwicke, Pembrokeshire, Wales.
Laurence Roche attended Swansea College of Art from 1962-65 and then went to study at Edinburgh College of Art until 1968. He trained as an art teacher in Edinburgh and then taught at schools in Reading and Cirencester before turning to full-time painting in 1979. A member of the Guild of Railway Artists, his subject matter embraces industrial scenes as well as landscapes and seascapes. In the early 1990s, he was artist-in-residence at Allied Steel and Wire.
