Peter Wuthrich was born in Bern, Switzerland in 1962. He is a painter, sculptor and photographer.

A passion for books lies behind much of Wuthrich's work, he is an avid collector of books which he uses as the raw material for his work; he uses these as three-dimesional pixels, building up abstract, multicoloured constructions. The works also convey literary and cultural associations and represent a tribute to the printed book during a time when digital communication, electronic devices and the internet become increasingly dominant.

Since the late 1990s Wuthrich has appered in numerous group and solo exhibitions throughout Europe and further afield in the USA and Mexico.
