Ellerkin, Wensleydale by Piers Browne
|
Piers Browne moved to North Yorkshire in 1975 and has lived there ever since. The impressive topography of Wensleydale and the changing colours and light throughout different seasons and times of day have frequently been the subject of his paintings, watercolours and etchings. In 2012, thirty-eight years after this print in the Warwick collection was made, Browne completed a four year project to produce a suite of eight large colour etchings of Upper Wensleydale, called 'The Seasons'.
