The Team
Director of Conduct and Resolution
The Director of Conduct and Resolution has overall responsibility for the effective and empathetic delivery of processes relating to student misconduct (non-academic) disclosures and reports. This includes oversight of the Conduct and Resolution Team, which administers the University’s conduct and resolution policies and processes, from formal complaint through to reaching a Disciplinary Committee and the Student Liaison Team covering sexual misconduct, bullying and harassment, discrimination and hate crime. The Director of Conduct and Resolution also acts as the University Officer, bringing the case and representing the University at Discipline Committees and Mitigation Hearings. The Conduct and Resolution team works closely with the University Complaints team, Wellbeing and Safeguarding, Residential Community teams and Community Safety.

Senior Assistant Registrar - Conduct and Resolution
The Senior Assistant Registrar for Conduct and Resolution deputises for the Director of Conduct and Resolution and when necessary may also undertake the role of University Officer, bringing the case and representing the University at Discipline Committees and Mitigation Hearings. The role also includes acting as Investigating Officer or Case Officer for complex cases and providing support and advice to other members of the Conduct and Resolution team over complex or sensitive issues.

Assistant Registrar - Conduct and Resolution
The Assistant Registrars are the case managers for a number of disciplinary cases and will have a thorough understanding of each case. They are the main Investigating Officers for disciplinary cases and support the internal or external investigating officer for more complex cases. They will ensure the correct process is followed from any initial precautionary action measures needed to the completion of the investigation report. This involves supporting the Investigating Officers with advice and guidance, reviewing investigation reports, maintaining accurate data management and providing case knowledge to the University Officer and any disciplinary committees as required.

Conduct and Resolution Officer
The Conduct and Resolution Officer is responsible for the administration, finance and logistics for the team. The role involves organising meetings, diary management and supporting investigations. At times, the Conduct and Resolution Officer may also undertake case officer work which includes note taking in meetings and preparing correspondence. The role also involves dealing with incoming requests and highlighting any urgent actions required to relevant areas within the University or externally.
