Children go on a journey through the rainforest - with real rainforest animals and with a ranger who really knows the rainforest inside out.

It's all about experiencing the drama of the rainforest - from the dark forest floor to the dizzy heights of the emergent layer! Children will learn about plants and get to meet a range of animals from ground-dwelling snails, 'travelling' snakes and canopy-dwelling tree frogs!

After learning lots about different rainforest animals, children will get stuck into making a mask of their favourite one.

Children should dress nice and warm as they will be outside for the morning.

Have you ever wanted to paint like an artist? Well now you can learn a variety of techniques that Pollok uses before going to the park and testing them out in a group painting. After all that hard work, children can enjoy using the facilities at the park.

The dancing is highly active so a suitable change of clothes and footwear is essential.

If your children love taking photos and want to get even better then this will be a fantastic experience for them. Mike from Picture Train helps children learn basic skills when capturing a moment using a camera. Children will explore camera lengths, angles, composition techniques that will end with some hilarious photos. Don’t forget to bring your cameras and a big smile!

For Safeguarding purposes children need to bring their own camera or picture taking device.

Origami A-Wing Fighter Jet competition and mask making (am)

Choreography through memory (pm)

Make your own A-Wing fighter jet and see how far yours will saw through the air in our competition.

A game that gives everyone a chance to be innovative whilst testing their memory. After an energetic warm-up, each child has to come up with a signature dance move that everyone will learn and remember (hopefully). We will end up with an exciting sequence of movement which we will then put to music.

It’s time to see exactly you can do with balloons? Not only will be playing loads of crazy balloon games but children will be having a go at modelling different animals, fruit and making squidgy balls. They will have lots to show you when they get home!

The movement is fairly active so a suitable change of clothes and footwear is recommended.

With lots of inspiration or anticipation (depending on which group you are in) from the Forest School workshop, children will create a new board game that is based around ideas they will/or have seen. In groups, children will make the board games and then have an opportunity to try out other new designs.

We will be outside no matter what the weather! Children should wear a waterproof jacket, and trousers if you have them, as well as walking boots or wellington boots. An extra layer of clothes will be needed to keep warm and a change of clothes just incase we get rained on.
