Changes to University Maternity and Adoption Pay

Following the conclusion of Trade Union negotiations the University will be implementing improved University Maternity and Adoption Pay for staff with an Expected Week of Confinement (EWC)/notified match week of 2 February 2020 or later.

The changes to the scheme are intended to make our offering more generous and competitive within the sector as well as seeking to retain key colleagues at University post maternity or adoption leave.

The revised schemes will continue to provide two options for staff but with enhancements in terms of the duration of payments.

Adoption Leave and SuccessFactors

Time off for adoption leave can now be requested directly in SuccessFactors. Details of how to do this are contained in the How to record maternity/adoption leave in SuccessFactors guide along with the Maternity/adoption leave plan that you need to complete and upload to SuccessFactors.
