Close Brothers being used for Financial Education Programme

The University of Warwick Pensions Team have engaged Close Brothers to provide pre-retirement seminars as part of its financial education programme to assist employees at the University.

Close Brothers have been delivering workplace financial education for over 50 years and is trusted to deliver fully holistic from hire to retire services to over 450 of the UK’s best known organisations. They are a leading UK merchant banking group providing lending, deposit taking, wealth management services and securities trading. They are a FTSE250 company, employ over 3,000 people, principally in the UK, and are listed on the London Stock Exchange.

The pre-retirement seminars can either be a whole day face to face event, or they can be hosted virtually. Pre-recorded videos covering the following topics will be made available to employees who book onto the webinars through the Virtual Retirement Hub:

  • Planning a positive transition
  • Adapting to a different lifestyle
  • State entitlements
  • Will and Estate planning

A live webinar will be available for employees to attend covering the topic “Financial planning for retirement” on the following date:

Wednesday 11th September 2024 10am to 12pm

Alternatively face to face whole day events will be taking place on the following dates:

Wednesday 5th June 2024 - 9am to 5pm - Warwick Conferences
Monday 9th December 2024 - 9am to 5pm - Warwick Conferences
