ERC grant success for Warwick
The European Research Council (ERC) has published the results of the second deadline of the Proof of Concept (PoC) 2015 call. Warwick is the only institution in Europe to be awarded three grants, making us the best performing institution in Europe in this call.
Warwick Ventures Ltd assisted with all three applications. The grantees, Sybille Lammes, of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies, Evgeny Rebrov, of the School of Engineering and Rachel Edwards (pictured), of the Department of Physics have each won €150,000 each to establish intellectual property rights, investigate business opportunities or conduct technical validation.’
“Warwick Ventures Limited were essential for getting the research funding for this proof of concept,” said Dr Edwards.” They helped to take a proposal written in a research-focussed manner (as academics are taught!) and give it the correct industrial focus. Warwick Ventures has worked closely with the extended research group for some time now and their level of expertise and understanding of our research was extremely beneficial.”
