Spinner spins-off its first Business Development Manager
The Spinner project, headed by Warwick Ventures, University of Warwick has recently appointed its first Business Development Manager based at the University of Central England.
With years of commercial background in industry, Andrew Corcoran brings with him vast expertise in market planning, product development and building market orientated organisations. Additional to this, Corcoran holds an MBA and Chartered Marketeer status. Corcoran will be focusing on his responsibility for the business development and intellectual property within the University of Central England’s Corporate Development Centre.
Dr Ederyn Williams explains, "This appointment is the first in many for the Spinner project. We should be seeing over the next few months all Business Development Managers in place for each University. I am sure Andrew will be a great asset to the project".
Spinner focuses on improving exploitation of research outcomes through the expansion of spin-out business creation activities in the eight West Midlands Universities.
Universities involved in the project include the University of Warwick, Coventry University, Keele University, Stafford University, University of Central England, Birmingham University and Wolverhampton University.
