Dig-ePrint Ltd springs into action
Dig-ePrint Ltd, a University of Warwick spin-off company are moving from strength to strength with their creation of their digital imaging invention.
The company now has employed two additional full time engineers, Mr Iqbal Baines and Dr Toby Robertson. Iqbal Baines provides his expertise from his background in the technical software and information technology industry, whereas Dr Toby Robertson provides Dig-ePrint’s electronics expertise. Dr Robertson also completed his doctorate at the University of Warwick.
The companies innovation focuses on expanding the technologies available within the digital imaging markets, by providing an inexpensive solution to the smaller player in the market such as chemists, small shops and other small retailers.
Dig-ePrint Ltd already have a string of successes under their belt, from winning the Lord Stafford Awards in October 2001, to receiving their SMART award funding from the DTI to enable them to move their idea into a prototype. Dig-ePrint have been working hard to produce their manufacturing plan and expect to start the manufacturing process at the end of 2002.
Dr Duncan Billson, Managing Director of Dig-ePrint explains, " The company is proving to be very successful and we are happy with the progress we are making. We are preparing ourselves for some hard work but I am positive this invention will be a success as there is nothing like it in the market at present".
