Shibden Technologies Limited, a "spin out" company formed by Warwick Ventures and founded by Professor Roger Green and Professor David Hutchins of the University of Warwick’s School of Engineering, has just been awarded the £5,000 second prize in the National UK Joint Research Council’s Business Plan competition.

The company’s key new technology is a new method for synthesising audible sound from ultrasonic speakers, which offers the prospect of miniaturised hi-fi loudspeakers.
