Cambridge CMOS Sensors, a spinout from the University of Cambridge exploiting novel gas sensor technology developed in collaboration with the University of Warwick, is looking for a business development specialist to join its team.

The company is currently marketing a range of CMOS microsystems used in integrated circuits, such as gas, flow and pressure sensors, and MEMS, which can run at high-temperatures, have low power consumption and are cheap to produce. It is also involved in a major EU FP7 project to design and make micro-hotplate devices as platforms for a variety of smart sensors.

Last month Cambridge CMOS Sensors closed a £575,000 investment round, including the first investment from the University of Cambridge’s new combined SEIS and EIS fund.

The company is now looking to appoint a full-time Vice President of Business Development to drive forward company growth. Professor Julian Gardner, co-founder of the company and Head of Warwick’s Microsensors and Bioelectronics Laboratory, says: “We’re looking for an energetic and creative new VP, with great communications skills. The post would also suit someone willing to travel in Europe, the US and the Far East to meet customers and generate new business for the company.”
