The University of Warwick licenses unique scanning probe electrochemistry IP to Uniscan Instruments
Uniscan Instruments Ltd and the University of Warwick have signed an Exclusive Agreement licensing new technology for multifunctional, high resolution chemical imaging.
The agreement will see Warwick’s unique Intermittent Contact Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy (ic-SECM) (1) and Scanning Electrochemical Cell Microscopy (SECCM) (2) technologies developed by Uniscan for Uniscan’s pioneering Scanning Probe Electrochemistry Workstation technology.
The new technologies were developed by the Warwick Electrochemistry and Interfaces Group, within the Warwick Centre for Analytical Science. They can be used along with other electrochemical imaging methods, such as constant height scanning electrochemical microscopy. Both techniques are the subject of international patent filings.
The agreement was negotiated and agreed by Warwick Ventures Ltd, the University of Warwick’s technology commercialisation arm.
