Move files to another page

Browse to the page where the files you want to move are located.

Go to Edit > More:

On the the Files tab, select the required file(s) in the list, then the move button:

You see the Move files screen:

Enter the path for the page you want to move the file to in the New URL box. This is the part of the page's URL after
https://warwick.ac.uk
. -
Optionally, you can Forward requests for your file on to the new address. Doing so means that anyone trying to access the file will automatically be sent to the new location.

Use the drop-down list to change whether the new file will Allow search engines.

Select whether the file's Permissions will change using the drop-down list. Note that the option you select applies to all the files you're moving:

Keep current settings: The files will keep the same permissions settings they already have.

Remove view permissions from copied pages: View permissions for the files are removed, meaning that they cannot be viewed by users without higher-level permissions. Other permissions are not affected.

Replace permissions - copy from new parent page: All existing permissions (including Edit and Admin permissions) are removed, and the files inherit the permissions of their new parent.

When you're happy with the copied file's settings, select Move file.
