Import and export iCalendar files
iCalendar (also referred to as ‘iCal’) is a file format for sharing calendar data in a common format. SiteBuilder's calendar page template supports this format.

Export a SiteBuilder calendar page to iCalendar format
You can export the data from SiteBuilder and import it to any application that supports the iCalendar format – for example, Apple Calendar (formerly iCal), Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook or SiteBuilder.
There are two ways to export the calendar data:
- Download the iCalendar file – this is a snapshot of the calendar at a particular time. When you import the file to another calendar application, the data does not synchronise with the SiteBuilder calendar. Use this method to import the data to another SiteBuilder calendar.
- Copy the iCalendar URL – and subscribe to it in your preferred calendar application. The data remains synchronised with SiteBuilder and updates periodically, depending on your calendar application's settings.
