Research Careers 5 Series (Workshop 2) - Enhancing your Employability

Overview:

To introduce contemporary debates on employability and highlight resources for researchers to develop their employability in academic and non-academic roles.

Who should attend?
University of Warwick Research Active Staff (staff on Research-focussed, Teaching-focussed and Research and Teaching contracts).

Organisational Development do not accept applications from postgraduates or research students. Students should refer to the Student Career and Skills website for details of workshops designed specifically to meet their needs.

By the end of the workshop participants will be able to:

  • interpret recent publications on researchers and the job market
  • review the Researcher Development Framework (RDF) and apply it to your employability
  • identify the skills commonly sought by employers and propose ways of acquiring them
  • compare and contrast different career paths taken by researchers

Workshop Pre-work:
Any pre-work will be e-mailed to the delegates prior to the workshop.
