Become an Information Security Champion

Do you care about keeping our university community safe online?
You don’t need to be a tech expert to make a big impact!

We’re building a University-wide Information Security Champions Network – a group of passionate individuals who want to help promote good security practices and a safer environment among staff and students.

Objectives of the security champions group

The key objectives of the Security Champions programme are:

To foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness and vigilance
To ensure consistent communication of security policies and procedures
To assist in identifying and mitigating security risks
To support the university's cybersecurity initiatives and projects

What will I do as a champion?

As a Champion, you will:

Learn simple, practical tips to protect yourself and others online
Help spread awareness about cybersecurity risks and mitigations in your department or student group
Be part of a supportive community making a real difference

No technical experience required – just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
