Simply fill in the sign-up sheet and we will get back to you with all the opportunities you can get involved with.

There are tonnes of reasons why you should volunteer!

  1. Increase your employability skills and make your CV stand out from others
  2. Help to shape the Warwick Active programme and university sport as a whole
  3. Gain new skills and training
  4. Meet new people and keep active
  5. Make a difference to your university

There are loads of opportunities available. You can run a Rock Up & Play session, organise a league, help out with an event, be a Pop Up Sports activator and much more. Please contact warwickactive@warwick.ac.uk for more information.

We offer a whole range of sports and you can volunteer in any of them.

You will receive an Activator handbook when you sign up which will give you lots of useful information. There will be specific training for some of the roles and there will be plenty of peer to peer training for all activators.

It doesn’t matter if you haven’t volunteered before. We are looking for people that are friendly and passionate about involving more people in sport. Any other skills you can develop along the way!

Not at all! You don’t have to be a top athlete to be an activator, all you need is a passion for your sport and the desire to get more people involved.

How much time you commit is entirely up to you! You can sign up to be an Events Activator and only ever commit a couple of hours, right the way through to being an activator for a couple of Rock Up & Play sessions volunteering over 4 hours per week.

Log your hours by clicking the button on the right hand side of the Volunteering homepage. You can either submit your hours weekly or termly, whichever suits you best!

If you don’t log your hours, we have no way of knowing how many hours you have done, and as such won’t be able to reward you for your hard work!

It is a celebration evening in Term 3 to celebrate the successes and hard work of our activators. Awards are awarded in 8 categories for the very best of the best.

Yes! The more volunteering you do, the more rewards you are entitled to. You can work towards gaining a sports qualification as well as getting other rewards e.g. clothing along the way.

Yes! We are also looking for more staff activators to run our All Year Round Rock Up & Play sessions. These sessions tend to be either at lunchtimes or after work so they appeal to staff members.

Yes, if you are interested in more than one sport, you are welcome to get involved as much as you like. Be careful not to take on too much though!

No, it doesn’t matter at all. We have activators who are in their first year, all the way through to staff and postgraduate students.
