Student Welcome Week 2024 Events FAQs

What events are taking place and when?
Who can attend Sports Fair, Societies Fair, and Sports Day?

Hundreds of sports clubs and societies at Warwick are showcasing the amazing breadth of opportunities for our students to get active and engaged at the University. Anybody can attend, but the events are created with Warwick students in mind.

Will the Sports and Wellness Hub be busier than usual during this time?

Footfall throughout the Sports and Wellness Hub will be much higher during this period. But don’t worry, there will be a fantastic atmosphere across the Hub, and you’ll still be able to access all facilities. Be sure to make your activity bookings in our app to ensure you can get active at the right times for you. Although our reception area will be busier than usual, we will also have more of our friendly Front of House team members available to support you during this period. There will also be a series of stalls available at the entrance of the Sports and Wellness Hub for Sports and Societies Fairs, with free merchandise and products available from brands including the likes of Grenade, PH, Ghost, Nocco, and Physio & Health Matters.

Where can I find quiet space in the Sports and Wellness Hub?

We will have quiet zones available during Sports and Societies Fairs between 10.00am and 11.00am in the Sports Arena, and Meeting Room 1 if you’d like to get some respite from the busier atmosphere.

I’m a student at Warwick, how do I sign up to attend?

You will be able to book a slot on the Welcome Week TimetableLink opens in a new window.

Will I be able to get a car parking space?

Yes, however spaces at the Sports and Wellness Hub car park will be reduced from Monday 23 September until the morning of Friday 27 September.

The Cryfield Village car parkLink opens in a new window will remain available to use as normal (this is the car park opposite the Sports and Wellness Hub).

Accessible spaces will be available across both car parks.

Will any of the events be photographed or filmed?

Yes, there will be photographers and videographers around the Sports and Wellness Hub, taking footage of the Sports Fair, Societies Fair and Sports Day.

Please let a member of our team know if you have any concerns with the prospect of being filmed. Don’t worry, this will only be limited to being featured in the background (if at all), but we’re happy to steer photographers and videographers away from your area if that would make you feel more comfortable.

Who can I contact if I have any concerns?

Don’t worry, although the Sports and Wellness Hub will be busier than usual, there will be a great atmosphere as we welcome new students to begin their university experience. However, you can reach out to our friendly team if you have any questions:
