Hardship Fund - Emergency Loan

Emergency Loan Overview

If you are experiencing short-term financial difficulty and are having difficulty in meeting your essential living costs you may be eligible for an interest-free Emergency Loan of up to £250.

Certain enrolment and course exclusions apply, such as students who are permanently withdrawn or students who are undertaking a degree apprenticeship. If you would like clarification on whether your enrolment status or course excludes you from applying, please contact Student Funding Support at

Please note, if you have any previous outstanding emergency loans, or you have already received 3 emergency loans within the last 12 months, this may impact your eligibility for a further emergency loan.
