Teaching activities

    • Teaching experience and pedagogy

Looking back as far as I can, I always have been in contact with youngsters and had many occasions to take part of their education. It's only recently, however, that I've started to teach sciences. I was indeed a teaching assistant during my PhD. Interested by pedagogy, I've been trained through the "Centre d'Initiation à l'Enseignement Supérieur" (CIES) in Grenoble (FRANCE). My CIES thesis (PDF Document) is definitively a way to share with you my thoughts about teaching and pedagogy.

Following my arrival in Warwick, I participated to some training so as to enlarge my view to a new teaching system: New International Staff: Teaching & Learning in a New Context; Teaching with Emotional Intelligence.

    • Science awakening to teenagers who fear school

This projet, part of the CIES formation, was a fantastic experience. The idea was to use science to help teenagers who fear school to get ride of their anxiety so as to be able to join back a formal school. Further details are summarized in our CIES report (PDF Document). To spread information about these transitional classes developed by Laurence Thabaret through the "Lycée College à l'Hopital et à Domicile" (LCHD), a poster(PDF Document) was exhibited at a national teaching meeting in Nice.
