English Language Requirements

English Langauage web banner

Please note that due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, the IELTS Intensive Pre-IFP Module has been cancelled for this academic year. Our IELTS requirements for the main IFP have been revised to allow students eligible for the Pre-IFP module to join our main programme directly.

Applicants who require a visa to study in the UK

You will be asked to provide evidence of a Secure English Language Test, due to the UK Government visa requirements. The list of approved Secure English Language Tests and test centres that meet the Home Office requirements is available on the UK Government website.

Please note that many English tests (including IELTS for UKVI) must be sat within two years of the start date of the Warwick IFP.

Applicants who do not require a visa to study in the UK

You will still be asked to submit evidence of your English Language skills if you do not need a visa to study the course. However, you may choose to complete a different English Language test to demonstrate your ability.

If you do not require a visa to study you are still recommended to complete an IELTS, as this will enable the team to make a quick assessment of your ability.
