We are very pleased that you have decided to join the Extended Intensive English Module at the beginning of the Warwick IFP.

Over the six-week course, you will study more than 70 hours of additional English language in preparation for starting your academic modules in October. The course is designed to cover the four skills of reading, listening, writing and speaking and acts as a bridging course for students with English as a second language, and with an entry score of IELTS Band 5.5 overall with Band 5.0 minimum in each component, which is slightly lower than the entry requirement for the International Foundation Programme (minimum Band 5.5 overall and 5.5 in each component).

The language skills and vocabulary are taught to reflect your subject pathways on the main foundation programme, with an emphasis on internationalisation and interdisciplinary study.
