Our pre-IFP Extended Intensive English module is available for students who need to focus on developing their English skills before they begin the Warwick IFP main programme.

Who is the module for?

The module provides students with an opportunity to join the Warwick IFP if they have not met the minimum English level required for their IFP course. To check the English requirements for your chosen course, please view our English Language Requirements.

By enrolling on to the Extended Intensive English module, students are able to spend time focusing exclusively on English before the start of their Warwick IFP course.

What's included on the module?

The module is 6 weeks long and you will receive approximately 15 hours of tuition each week. Small class sizes mean that the module will be extremely student-centred, with small group tasks and competitions, encouraging lots of communication between you, your tutors and other students.

Upon completion of the module, you will automatically progress to the Warwick IFP course that you have applied for and will not need to take an additional IELTS.

How to apply?

You can join this module by either applying directly for one of our 10 course options 'with Extended English Intensive' included, or if you have already applied for a main IFP course, you can request to transfer on to this variation of the main IFP.

In order to join the module, you must:

• Have achieved an IELTS score of 5.5 overall with no component less than 5.0
• Meet all other academic conditions issued to you as part of your application to the Warwick IFP by your specified deadline

What are the course costs?

The Extended Intensive English module costs is £2,375 which is charged in addition to the standard Warwick IFP academic fee of £22,795 GBP (for 2023/24).

Please note that places on our Extended Intensive English module are extremely limited. In order to secure a place on this module, a non-refundable £450 deposit will be required. You must pay this deposit by the deadline specified in your offer email, in addition to the academic deposit for the main programme.

Accommodation will be available on-campus for the duration of the module. Further details about accommodation options will be provided ahead of the course start
