I am a Student Outside of the UK

Section 1: Purpose and Contents of this page:

This page has been created to give guidance to students who are currently outside of the UK and have been remote studying.

Please ensure you carefully read the guidance provided for your situation BEFORE you contact Student Immigration.

The arrival deadlines outlined on this page are specific to degree-level courses including incoming exchange/visiting students.

You can also find useful information on our Arrival's webpage.

Section 2: Undergraduate students

Physical Arrival Deadline:

If you started a full time 3-year or 4-year undergraduate course in the autumn of 2020 or 2021, your physical arrival deadline has now passed.

If you still have not managed to arrive in the UK, you should contact your Academic department in the first instance to explore your options.

For students who have been given exceptional approval to arrive after 10 January 2022 due to severe mitigating circumstances, please read the information below.

If you have your Temporary Travel Vignette (TTV), but have not travelled to the UK yet:

You must travel within the validity of your TTV.

You must ensure that your TTV is stamped with your date of entry by UK Border Force on arrival at a UK Border.

You must upload a copy of your stamped TTV to your enrolment portal.

Please read the guidance on the following link and take any required actions:
