You will only receive a "Combined" CAS covering both the PSE course and your main course if the English language requirement is the final condition to meet for your main course offer. Once you have received an unconditional offer for the PSE course and your main course conditions have been updated to reflect that you will be joining a PSE course, the Admissions team dealing with your main degree course will issue your CAS. You will receive an automatic email (Confirming your details for use in your CAS), you will need to follow the instructions on this email where you are required to confirm your details to request your CAS.

Please note, if you have been issued a "Combined" CAS, once you have successfully completed your PSE course, you will need to complete your Online Enrolment for your Main Course by your Main Course Start Date, using your existing CAS and Visa Details.

Once you have passed your PSE course, the PSE team will notify the Admissions team who are dealing with your main course. You must also make sure you have met your other offer conditions for your Main course. You will receive an automatic email (Confirming your details for use in your CAS) for the Main course. You will need to follow the instructions in this email to request your CAS. It's a similar process to when you requested a CAS for your PSE course.

Please ensure you check your emails regularly for any actions required.

If the English language requirement is not the only condition required for your main course offer (e.g. you have academic qualifications outstanding) you will be issued a "Single" CAS for the PSE course only. You can use your Single CAS to apply for a Student visaLink opens in a new window and attend your PSE course. Once you have successfully completed the PSE course and met the other conditions for your main course, you will then be offered a new CAS to extend your Student visa for your main course.

We will be providing workshops to help you to apply for the Student Visa, and complete the enrolmentLink opens in a new window for, your main course.

You will need to submit a Student visa application before your Main course start date and before your current Student visa (for PSE) expiry date, whichever is earliest. You must complete enrolment for your main course before you can start studying.

We will be offering workshops to help you apply for a Student visa for your main course.

During your PSE studies, we will invite you to attend the first workshop to fill in the first part of the student visa application form. After you have passed your PSE studies and have received your new CAS for the main course, we will invite you to attend the second workshop where you will be able to submit your Student visa application (i.e. pay the visa application fee and IHS fee) and complete enrolment for your Main course.

We will email you with an invitation to the workshops when the details are finalised.

You can travel and return to the UK as long as your Student visa is valid. You may need a visa for the other country you are travelling to. Please note that you will need to return to the UK and complete enrolment before your Main course start date.

"Single" CAS PSE students: You will need to submit a Student visa application before your Main course start date and before your current Student visa (for PSE) expiry date, whichever is earliest. You will need to have completed enrolment before the Main course start date.

Please note, once you submit a Student visa application for the Main course, you cannot travel outside the UK until you receive your new Student visa. However, you can begin your Main course studies while waiting for your new Student visa (even if your PSE student visa has expired) as long as you have made an "in-time" visa application (you submitted the application before the previous visa expired).

The English Language requirement of your main course offer is based on successfully passing your PSE course. If you did not pass your PSE course, you should contact your PSE and Admissions Team for your Main course as soon as possible to see if it is possible to meet your offer conditions another way - they will advise if and how this is possible.

If you have received a Student Visa refusal, please complete the Student Visa refusal notification and new CAS request formLink opens in a new windowLink opens in a new window. You will need to upload your UKVI refusal notice. We will assess whether we can assign a new CAS for you to make a new Student Visa application.
