Please complete the form below if you think you may need a DBS Check for research or a placement that is part of your course at the University of Warwick.

Warwick Volunteers

If you are volunteering through Warwick Volunteers, please contact them directly to arrange your DBS Check:

If you are a paid member of staff, your DBS Check must be arranged by the Human Resources (HR) team. Please contact:

What happens next?

After we receive your form, the Disclosures Team will review the information you provide and decide whether a DBS Check is needed for your role.

We will email you to:

Tell you whether a DBS Check is required, or
Ask for more information if needed.

If a DBS Check is required, we will send you instructions on how to complete the application.

When is a DBS Check needed?

We can only carry out DBS Checks for certain types of work or activities.

If we determine you require a DBS check to undertake your research, you will need to have three ID documents from Group 1, 2a. 2b in the list on the following government website verified either at the Post Office or Warwick (we will advise you on this): ID checking guidelines for Standard/Enhanced DBS check applications from 22 April 2025 - GOV.UK. Please indicate below which three documents you would use for ID verification so that we can set you up under the correct verification method.
