What encouraged you to choose to join the Warwick Summer School?

I was encouraged to join the Warwick Summer School because the University of Warwick is one of the famous universities in the UK and it offers my dream course, Data Science: Foundations of Data Analytics. Additionally, studying in the UK has always been a dream of mine, and I am eager to explore the UK’s culture and the city, as well as meet friends from different countries.

As you transitioned from the Warwick Summer School back to your studies or work, how did the skills and knowledge you gained during the three weeks help you?

As I transitioned from the Warwick Summer School back to my studies and work, the skills and knowledge I gained during the three weeks proved invaluable. The Data Science course, particularly the SVM model and programming skills, has enabled me to analyse different sets of big data such as survey data during my studies and work.

Additionally, my improved English skills have significantly enhanced my communication abilities. My critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills have been improved during the data science course as it involves solving complex problems and the application of theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios.

What advice would you give to future students participating in the Warwick Summer School to get the most out of the programme?

I would advise future students participating in the Warwick Summer School to make the most of the program by actively seeking to meet as many friends from different countries as possible. This will broaden your perspective, allow you to learn about various cultures and provide an excellent opportunity to practice your English.

Additionally, I highly recommend joining the organized trips to London, Bath and Oxford. These excursions are offered at a reasonable price and it is a fantastic way to explore the UK’s culture and beautiful architecture.
