Entry Requirements
Please see each course webpage for information on specific entry requirements. If the student's chosen course requires existing knowledge in the field, the student can attach their University transcript or a screenshot of their university modules from their student portal with their online application.
English Language Requirements:
Our Summer School courses are taught in English so students must be able to demonstrate a good level of English language and comprehension. We assess a student's English ability through their application and correspondence.
Applications
Applying to the Summer School couldn't be easier, students apply online and upload the required documents. A £50 application fee will be required.
Application Deadline
Friday 29 May 2026 (for students requiring a visa)
Friday 12 June 2026 (for students who require a ETA visa or who do not require a visa)
They will hear back from us quickly with an offer decision, we aim to do this within 3-5 working days. Once an offer is made, students have the choice to pay in full or pay a £1,000 deposit in order to secure their place (final balance due by 13 June 2026).
Students requiring visas will be sent visa invitation letters once a payment has been made.
What can students expect?
- 60 hours of teaching
- Guest lecture programme
- Social programme, with opportunity to select optional additional trips and visits including to the iconic capital city of London
- Sports activities - including swim and gym access if on-campus accommodation is booked
- Accommodation and catering options on campus (payable separately)

Teaching and Learning
Each course offered at the Summer School contains 60 hours of teaching. These hours of study include:
- 48 hours of teaching (lectures, seminars, labs, workshops, revision)
- 6 hours of guest lectures
- 6 hours of study groups
Students are also expected to complete 88 hours of independent study throughout the programme.
Certificates, Transcripts and Credit Transfer
All students will be awarded a certificate of attendance by the University of Warwick upon completion of the programme and this is sent to students after the programme comes to an end. In addition to an attendance certificate, students who sit the optional course assessment will also be sent an official University of Warwick transcript of results which can often be used for credit transfer at your home institution.
It is ultimately up to a student's home institution as to how much credit is awarded but we are happy to provide any necessary information to your registry or academic advisor to help them evaluate our courses. Students in previous years who have successfully transferred credits for our courses have received 7.5 ECTS/3 US credits.
