Teaching for a Sustainable Future: Embedding Sustainability Across Disciplines

The second session of the Transatlantic Teaching Exchange SeriesLink opens in a new window brought together educators from over 20 institutions across the UK, US, and Canada to explore how sustainability can be meaningfully embedded in university curricula.

  

Professor Stéphanie Panichelli-Batalla and Sophie Scholand from the University of Warwick provided a provocation on sustainability at Warwick, before participants discussed the realities of institutional strategy, student voice, and the gap between performative and genuine curriculum change. Key themes included the challenge of time and capacity, the need for shared language across disciplines, and the power of student-led initiatives to drive institutional progress.
