1. Describe your current role and what attracted you to it
After graduation my only criteria for a job was to be part of doing good for the world. I now work with local governments and networks to plan low carbon energy systems. It’s rewarding to translate climate goals into practical projects that shape infrastructure, communities, and investment decisions.
2. What are the key sustainability skills you learnt at Warwick that have helped you with your career to date?
In Warwick there was a wonderful academic environment that provided us with exposure and opportunities to contribute to state of the art research. Exposure to research and renewable energy modules, combined with a summer research internship, strengthened my ability to assess evidence, understand energy systems, and translate insights into practical sustainability work
3. What top tips do you have for Warwick graduates who would like to work in your sector?
Don’t be afraid to start at a smaller company and don’t be discouraged by rejections. When you do get opportunities, read up about the industry, how it’s structured, latest policy updates. This shows interest and purpose behind you wanting to join the sector.
