Alumni Sustainability Spotlight

1. Describe your current role and what attracted you to it
After a decade in traditional banking, I now run my own strategic finance advisory firm. My work allows me to leverage the strong technical skillset built during banking and take on roles at organisations that positively contribute towards the UN SDGs to catalyse private capital to sustainable investments at scale.

2. What are the key sustainability skills you learnt at Warwick that have helped you with your career to date?
Through my Computer Science and Management degree at Warwick, I developed the ability to break complex problems down to understand key drivers and trade-offs. This skillset enables me to assess challenging environmental and social impacts, use data to inform decisions, and design practical, scalable solutions to sustainability challenges.

3. What top tips do you have for Warwick graduates who would like to work in your sector?
Develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills alongside a solid understanding of sustainability principles. Learn to break complex challenges into manageable parts and use data to inform decisions. Seek interdisciplinary experience, stay curious, and be open to roles outside traditional sustainability pathways — impact can be created across many sectors.
