Sustainability Webinar

- Export as iCalendar
Location: Online

In November, the University Council approved a vision for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) that includes the construction of a major new Science Precinct on central campus.

The Science Precinct will include new space for the Departments of Chemistry and Physics, and the School of Engineering, to enable them to grow, innovate and inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.

When investing in new campus facilities, Warwick has an obligation* to cement sustainability into the construction of the buildings, as well as into the research that takes place within them.

During this webinar the Vice Chancellor Professor Stuart Croft will explore how the use of sustainable construction practices can enable Warwick to deliver this ambitious campus development sustainably, with Jonny Wates, Director of Wates Group, Trustee of Forum for the Future, and Sustainability Champion.

They will be joined by Warwick's Provost, Professor Christine Ennew OBE. Together they will talk about Warwick’s commitment to sustainability on campus and in our academic research, and how this research will be facilitated by the STEM Grand Challenge.
