Partnerships and Sustainability at Warwick

Partnerships and Sustainability

We are dedicated to fostering sustainability partnerships at every level, leveraging collective expertise and resources to amplify our impact beyond campus boundaries.

At Warwick, we build meaningful sustainability collaborations - from local community initiatives to global alliances - through knowledge exchange, shared projects, and mutual capacity building.

Our Local Partnerships connect us with community organizations, local government, and businesses to address sustainability challenges in our immediate surroundings. Our Regional Networks extend our reach across the Midlands, creating powerful coalitions to drive systemic change and regional resilience.

At the National Level, we engage with UK-wide institutions, government bodies, and industry partners to influence policy, share best practices, and participate in country-wide sustainability initiatives. On the global stage, our International Collaborations link Warwick researchers and students with partners worldwide, tackling shared environmental challenges that transcend borders.

Together, these collaborative efforts reflect our commitment to aligning with the University's Sustainability Strategy and the UN's Sustainable Development Goals - recognizing that the most pressing sustainability challenges require collective action and shared responsibility.

Sustainability ForumLink opens in a new window

The Sustainability Forum is a student-led group within the Students' Union, with an annual budget provided by the University's Energy & Sustainability team. Members of the Sustainability Forum also contribute to University governance through membership of the Sustainability Action Groups.

Our Areas of Impact

Across Warwick's partnerships, our sustainability strategy reflects a commitment to driving meaningful change through collaborative action and shared learning. Our partnership initiatives are evaluated regularly to ensure mutual benefit, meaningful outcomes, and alignment with our sustainability goals.

Each partnership level is aligned with the University Sustainability Strategy and contributes to our shared vision of creating positive environmental and social impact. Through these efforts, we aim to extend our sustainability influence beyond campus boundaries, creating ripple effects that contribute to local resilience, regional transformation, national progress, and global sustainability solutions.
