Our University has signed the Nature Positive Pledge

What is the Nature Positive Pledge?

Our University has signed the Nature Positive PledgeLink opens in a new window– a commitment to start a journey to halt and reverse nature loss, and to actively restore biodiversity and ecosystems affected by our activities. We have already been taking meaningful steps for nature for a number of years through habitat enhancement projects on campus, species and habitat monitoring and engagement through teaching and research.

Being a Nature Positive University means going beyond reducing harm. It involves enhancing our positive impacts on nature through teaching, research, campus operations, and supply chains. It requires us to measure our baseline impact on biodiversity, set clear targets, take action, and report progress annually.

This pledge aligns with global efforts to protect life on Earth and recognises that the University of Warwick has a unique role in shaping a future where people and nature thrive together.
