Caroline Griffin is a specialist in audience development and organisational change in the cultural and creative sector. In over 24 years’ experience, working in arts organisations and audience development agencies, Caroline has built her expertise in arts marketing, developing diverse audiences, using new technologies and the relationship between artistic risk and audiences, as well as a strong reputation as a creative marketing consultant. Recent projects include working with Theatre by the Lake, Keswick, in a period of organisational change and Covid recovery and she is currently working with Forced Entertainment on marketing and comms during the company’s 40th Birthday Year. Caroline is an accredited Relational Dynamics coach and a trained mentor. and is an established writer and presenter. Publications include Conviviality and the Joy of Making for The Shape of Things, a briefing note on audience development for Audiences Northern Ireland and Voluntary Arts Network and This Way Up: A Flatpack Guide to Marketing the Arts. Other publications include a chapter in the Arts Council England book on approaches to diverse audiences, Navigating Difference. 

Caroline has been teaching at the University of Warwick since 2013, leading modules on marketing for the arts, audience development and running a placement module in the department of Theatre and Performance Studies
