ESRC Festival of Social Sciences - Get involved now!
This year the ESRC Festival of Social Science is going online from 7th-15th November and we are now looking for expressions of interest for events.
The Festival is aimed at providing opportunities for researchers to engage with non-academic audiences of all types; young people, community groups, organisations, policy makers and the wider public. We are aiming to demonstrate how research at Warwick contributes to the economic, health &wellbeing, and cultural life of society. We are open to expressions of interest from all faculties, especially inter-disciplinary work, which demonstrates the value, importance, and impact of social science research and findings. You can read more about the festival here.
At this stage, we are very open to discussions for different types of events and topics. In the past we have had performances, debates, workshops, roundtables, talks, and more. The move to an online format may require some creative thinking, but we are excited about producing innovative, engaging and high quality events. The public engagement team will work with you to develop your event and curate a programme which showcases the full range of Warwick’s research whilst also engaging with as diverse an audience as possible. We encourage submission of even initial ideas; details can be changed and developed in collaboration after submission.
The expression of interest form is available here. The deadline is 14th August 4pm. If you have any questions or would like to discuss in advance, please do get in touch with us here.
We look forward to hearing from you soon,
The Public Engagement Team
