Spotlight on Digital
Our vision...
The Digital Spotlight focuses on the areas of artificial intelligence, quantum computing and cyber-physical systems. In addition to these three technical areas, we’re also conducting research into cross-cutting areas of ethics, society and digital, governance of digital, digital for sustainability and education for digital.
For example, we can’t do safe and trustworthy digital-focused research without considering its ethical implications and societal impact. We also need to take into account regulations and governance issues. Digital research must also consider sustainability and educational aspects, such as the need to invest in digital science education.
The Digital Spotlight will organise regular workshops and outreach events, designed to strengthen our relationships with partners, policy makers and industry, and help create a digital future that benefits us all.
