Work on Traffic Signals at Kenilworth/Gibbet Hill Roads Junction

Work on the traffic signals on the Kenilworth Road/Gibbet Hill Road junction, which was due to begin on Monday 9 February, is now due to commence on Monday 23 February for approximately eight weeks. To ensure minimum disruption, and to avoid peak traffic periods, the works will be carried out Monday to Friday, between 9:00am and 3:30pm.

The work is being carried out by Coventry City Council and the road will not be closed at any point during this six-week period. Traffic will be controlled by stop/go signs or temporary traffic signals.

Before 9am and after 3.30pm, work will be carried out in the verges and will not affect traffic.

The work is being carried out to enable a MOVA system to be introduced to the traffic signals, which will greatly improve the junction performance and reduce delay to both general traffic and public transport.

If you have any questions regarding the scheme, you can contact Philip Scoffham, Traffic Engineer for the contractors, Jacobs, on Philip.Scoffham@jacobs.com
