Introducing Warwick Volunteers

Warwick Volunteers supports students from all departments at the University of Warwick to volunteer in the communities around campus and where they live. Utilising the skills, energy and enthusiasm of our volunteers, by having a positive impact on the social, educational & environmental wellbeing of our local, national and international communities, in particular in addressing disadvantage and exclusion in Coventry and Warwickshire.

Benefits to your students

Students benefit from volunteering through making friends, gaining skills and getting out into the communities that surround the University and getting to know local people and the area.

Volunteering is a key component of the NHS 5 steps to wellbeing, through connecting with other people, being physically active, learning new skills, giving to others, and being in the moment.

There is also an internal recognition programme that offers something at every level of study; undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research.

Browse opportunities

The Volunteering Portal exists to make it easy for student to connect with community partners. Registering interest allows for direct communication, and students can use the calendar to help fill their free time.

Key Facts

A wide variety of students participate both home and international, undergraduate and postgrad, both taught and research.

Strategy to 2025

Where we want to be, how we want to be.

Newsletter Sign up for staff

Not all volunteering opportunities get listed on the volunteering portal, some community partners prefer that student just reach out to them via email. These opportunities and other volunteering stories are sent out to students via the regular Warwick Volunteers Newsletter. Students can sign up to the newsletter by logging in to the portal.

Speakers | Stalls

Warwick Volunteers is always happy to speak directly to groups of students. We can present using the resources above, bring personal anecdotes about what volunteering can mean to individual students as well as taking questions. If you would like to arrange for one of our students to speak at your event, or attend an event with a stall.
