M4C Dialogue Days - 2025/26
Staff-led ‘Dialogue Day’ proposals should facilitate research and training networks in ways that catalyse innovation in the arts and humanities across the eight universities of Midlands4Cities. Specifically, their purpose is to connect academic staff and doctoral researchers from across M4C to address a question or problem that extends and enriches interdisciplinary research culture in the Midlands. Dialogue Days will be devised by academic staff but should have a tangible research and training benefit for arts and humanities doctoral researchers (that include DTP and non-DTP funded researchers). The guiding principle of the scheme is that the application and research/training activity must involve staff and doctoral researchers from more than one of the eight M4C universitiesLink opens in a new window. Staff should work in cross-institutional collaboration with a minimum of 2 universities involved in any application. Where appropriate, proposals can involve non-HEI partner organisations. The ‘Dialogue Day’ can be delivered either online or in person.
M4C will fund four Dialogue Days in 2026 up to a maximum value of £2,000 each; in addition there will be an opportunity to bid for a further Dialogue Day focused on an EDI theme or experience. Events must take place before 30th September 2026. Please see timetable and application forms/notes below:
