M4C-funded PhD Doctoral Training - Applications Open
Applications are now open for the Midlands4Cities-funded PhD programme to commence in October 2024.
Through the Open Doctoral and Collaborative Doctoral Awards, M4C will fund and support outstanding research for doctoral researchers across the breadth of Arts and Humanities. The deadline for AHRC funding applications is 10th January 2024 (noon UK time). Applicants must also have applied for a place to study at one of the eight M4C universities.

Short-term paid leave policy
The Doctoral College have recently announced a new short-term paid leave policy for PGRs.
This covers bereavement and care for dependants. Eligible PGRs will be currently in receipt of a stipend either from the University, or a UKRI training grant.
More details can be found on the Doctoral College's website, along with details of other forms of leave available to PGRs (Annual, Parental, Sick) and details of Temporary and Permanent Withdrawal processes.

Research Zone Desk Allocations
Desk allocations have taken place for Autumn/Spring terms. We shall accept requests in March 2024.
M4C Sculpture Trail
Our M4C-funded PGRs enjoyed a walk around the University campus Sculpture Trail for our M4C social event in October 2023.

M4C Masters Bursary
As part of our commitment to supporting routes in to the PhD, CADRE are excited to announce a new M4C Masters Bursary for students who will study a Masters course at Warwick, and who intend to subsequently apply for an M4C-funded PhD at the University.
For the 2023-2024 academic year, we have supported 5 bursaries, worth £10,000 per student (home or international).
