Below is a summary of the Department's undergraduate modules that we plan to offer in the 2019/20 academic session. These are listed to help students make an informed choice when deciding on module preferences. Whilst we will endeavour to keep any changes to a minimum, please be aware that there may be some changes to the modules on offer.
Not all option modules listed will necessarily be offered every year and new modules may be added every year.
Please note that students not studying for literature degrees must normally have obtained a good pass in a literary A-level before taking a course offered by this Department.
There are restrictions on which modules students from outside of the department can and cannot take. You should make sure you know what these before making your final choice.

Most modules offered are available as options to all students. Please note that some of the module pages will state that they are Pathway Approved Options or Requirements or Distributional Requirements for different Q300 pathways. This information is there to assist Q300 students in making their module choices and does not exclude anyone from choosing those modules as one of their options.
Please note that the module code number (i.e. EN227, EN301 etc) does not accord with the year in which you can take the module: some modules are specific to second or finalist year students, but most are free to take in either your second or final year.
