'Writing the History of the GlobalLink opens in a new window'. British Academy conference, 2009
In 2009, the Global History and Culture Centre, then directed by Professor Maxine Berg, organised a ground-breaking conference. It was entitled 'Writing the History of the Global: Challenges for the 21st century', and brought together many influential historians to reflect on the concept of the 'global' and the challenges this approach poses for the writing of history in the 21st century. The entire event was recorded, and the material is available in full here.
During the conference, several conversations were held, and these were also recorded. See here for these Global ConversationsLink opens in a new window
