Jorge L. Giovannetti-Torres is Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. His book Black British Migrants in Cuba (Cambridge University Press) was the recipient of the 2019 Sterling Stuckey Prize from the Association for the Study of the Worldwide African Diaspora.
