Our next meeting of the Memory Studies Group will be on 13 November from 2-3.15pm in FAB 2.32. We are going to have a Memory Studies Showcase, e.g. short (5-8 min) talks, followed by a general discussion:

Mark Philp will talk about the juxtaposition of the Gotthold Ephraim Lessing monument with the Judenplatz Holocaust Memorial by Rachel Whiteread in Vienna

Pierre Purseigle will talk about archives and memory of disasters

I will talk about the new National US World War One Memorial, which was unveiled in September
