Cutural Devolution
Centre researchers David Wright, Jonathan Vickery, Vishalakshi Roy, Heidi Ashton and Bethany Rex were part of a national project, funded by Research England and led by Culture Commons, to place the cultural and hertitage sectors at the heart of debates about political devolution in the UK.
State of the Arts
Working with the Campaign for the Arts, Heidi Ashton and Melanie Stavrou produced the State of the Arts report, detailing arts provision and access across the UK.
Museum of Climate Stories
Led by Jamie Larkin, the Museum of Climate Stories explores creative and imaginative ways of responding to the unfolding planetary emergency, by encouraging climate action at a local level.
Green Transitions and Sustainability
Heidi Ashton and Pietari Kaapa lead a Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre network exploring sustainability and the green transition in media, screen, and digital production. The network examines tensions in policy and practice, and will identify knowledge gaps, and inform future research aimed at fostering a sustainable and equitable industry.
Creative Communities Co-Lab
Funded by the Creative Communities programme, David Wright, with Vishalakshi Roy, Jamie Larkin and Heidi Ashton are working with Talking Birds, Coventry City Council and West Midlands Combined Authority on Co-Creating cultural policies to support a regional creative economy.
A Rural Touring Story
Led by Vishalakshi Roy and Melanie Stavrou Culture, Well-Being and Economics: A Rural Touring Story, developed in partnership with the National Rural Touring Forum, supported by Arts Council England and funded by Research England, explores the development and sustainability of the rural arts touring model in the UK.
